The client needed an application that was easy to use even if it was only used seldomly.
High security was a must, so the design could not use cookies. It would be an added bonus if the users found the application so easy that they would visit more often.
I used large surfaces and icons in order to calm and give the sense of overview. The surfaces separates the three activites and news. News is a major focus point because of security – it is the sole point of communication between the client and the user.
